What is AIEEE?

The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), was an examination organized by the (CBSE). Introduced in the year 2002, this national level competitive test is for admission to various under-graduate engineering and architecture courses in institutes accepting the AIEEE score, mainly 30 (NITs) and 5 (IIITs).

The examination was generally held on the last Sunday of April and results were announced in the last week of May or the first week of June. Candidates were ranked on an all-India basis and state basis. Thus, they have an All India Rank (AIR) and a State Rank (SR).

AIEEE Exam Eligibility Criteria 2019

The 10+2 level examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education Examination. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University. The final examination of the two- year course of the Joint Services wing of the National Defence Academy. Any public School examination in India or abroad recognized by the association of Indian universities as equivalent to 10+2 system, H.S.C. vocational examination, A passing grade in the Senior Secondary Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
