All India Engineering Entrance Examination - AIEEE 2010

The eighth AIEEE Exam All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admissions in B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch.VB. Planning in various national level institutes like NITs, I NTs, Deemed Universities and government funded institutions and States like Haryana and Uttaranchal will be held on 26lh April, 2010 all over India and abroad. This examination will be held in two parts viz B.EV B.Tech from 9,30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and for B.Arch.VBr Planning from 1400 hrs to 1700 hrs. The sale of application form from the identified branches of Syndicate Banks all over India, identified institutions and Regional Offices of CBSE will be started from 51h December, 2008 to 5th January, 2010. The last date for submission of application form in the Board office is 10th January, 2010 till 5.00 p.m. For more information, please visit CBSE website as www.aieee.nic.in.

Eligibility criteria for AIEEE 2010:

The candidate must pass in the class 12th board examination or any other equivalent examination.
If a candidate is appearing for B.E/B.Tech examination then he has physics and mathematics as the compulsory subjects and any one from Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, and Biology.
If the candidate is appearing for B. Arch / B.Planning then Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate at10+2 level is the compulsion.

Important dates for aieee 2010 :

Apr 2010- examination day. Exam starts at 9:30am
May 2010 availability of examination forms, prospectus and online submission of applications.
Dec 2009- last day for requesting application form by post.
Jan 2010- last day to submit application forms.
June 2010- result declared on this date or before this date.

NOTE: the dates mentioned above are only proposed and as soon as the dates are officially declared by AIEEE, this post will be updated.

The AIEEE offered 9,000 seats in 117 institutions, namely 18 National Institutes of Technology, 15 Deemed Universities and 79 other technical institutions, including 3 other govt. funded institutions and 2 state Universities through this examination. All State level institutions in Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Chandigarh UT admitted all their students on the basis of AIEEE. In the States of Haryana and Rajasthan, open seats in State level institutions were filled up through AIEEE. A centralized counselling is organized for filling up the All India seats.This year many other institutions are expected to admit students through AIEEE.
